Telephone Advice Service

We are very pleased to report that Liverpool Citizens Advice Telephone Service (LCATS) was launched to the public on Monday 3rd July 2006.

 This is a new and innovative service as for the first time there will be one telephone number to access the CAB in Liverpool and one dedicated telephone advice line between bureaux.

 

The number is:    084 48 48 77 00

 

 LCATS is a partnership arrangement through Liverpool Specialist Advice Services (LSAS) and all seven CAB in Liverpool. The service is being funded provisionally by bureaux and we are using Call Handling to operate it as a ‘virtual call centre’. The service will enable bureaux to plan and weight their advice rotas and ensures flexibility as bureaux can log in and log off as required.

 At least one bureau will be on duty at any one time between 10.00am and 3.00pm on Monday to Friday (currently Friday afternoon is the only slot not covered). A 24 hour Q-Call service will operate outside of these hours or when all lines are busy.

 LCATS is being operated through a unique ‘CASE’ outlet that has been set up specifically for the service. This will allow bureaux to share information easily between each other and will continue to develop the excellent working relationship between bureaux in Liverpool.

 Early indications show that LCATS is already very much in demand and we hope to develop and expand the service and intend to hold a full launch later on in 2007.
